Back in Black is the seventh studio album by the Australian rock band AC/DC. It was released on July 25, 1980. The album was an immediate success, hitting number one in Australia, the UK, and France. It also reached number four on the Billboard album chart in the US.
The album's cover art is all-black in tribute to the band's previous vocalist Bon Scott who died in February 1980. It is one of the top three best-selling albums of all time.
